Mountainsmith Cross Country 6000
A great hiking bag with an internal frame. I have used it from hiking trips to just camping trips. It can hold 6000 cubic inches of stuff. It has been maxed out several times. It has a detachable day back. Has a water pouch holder built in on the inside. It easily holds 65 lbs of gear.

Great backpack for day hikes. The first thing that I noticed was the great air circulation between the back and the bag. Its very light. I really like the hiking pole holders. Easy access pocket on top for snacks, etc.
Katadyn HIKER PRO
Ten years ago I used the standard water filter by Katadyn and it worked really well. Recently I decided to get my own because on the last hiking trip I ran out of water 5 miles from the car. Although not life threatening, it wasn't a pleasant experience. I really like the Hiker Pro for its field maintenance kit as well as quick connect fittings. With the quick connect I didn't have to remove my water bladder from the bag but just connect it externally and fill it up. Water tasted great!
OBOZ Bridger Bdry Hiking Boots
Great pair of waterproof boots. I am a big fan of boots that are higher then the ankle for support, especially when descending. I also the love the firm sole which is great for all conditions.
