THE WILD CENTER, TUPPER LAKE!

Although we have been camping in the Adirondacks since 2005, we never really noticed or actually knew about The Wild Center until this year. It has been opened since 2006 and the Walk portion has been opened since 2015.

The adults in our group quickly noticed that it was not only entertaining for children but the whole place catered to older kids (adults) as well.

It all starts when you walk into the door of the main building to get your tickets. The tickets are fairly priced and it doesn't break the bank for a well put together experience for the whole family. Your ticket is a sticker that you place on your shirt.

The main building has several great activities which represent the eco system of the Adirondack's really well. There are hands on things to do for the kids as well so it engages most of their senses. I won't spoil the description for each presented section. Check it out for yourself!

For the second half of the tour, one has to venture outside. We actually flew through the indoor part because of the forecasted rain later in the afternoon. Prior to coming there we saw plenty of photos of the outdoor exhibitions and were eager to check them out.

Nice pose

"The Wild pose"

2-3 stories in the air

The walk to the river was a nice trail in the forest but the path was a bit uneven as warned in the sign below. We did great with out stroller nevertheless.

The overall experience was really nice for both adults and children of all ages. We also had a great time sharing the experience with the Marano's.

The question everyone always ask's, would you come back?
Answer: Definitely! The only down side it's a little over 3 hrs away from Syracuse and it would make a really long day trip. But if ever in the area again, it would be nice to stop by again.
