ADIRONDACK VACATION DAY #3

The highlights of this day were road biking, fishing, and grilling. From a guys perspective, it was a well rounded day.
A couple of hours before lunch, I took a 14 mile biking trip that went around a couple hills. The Hadley hill climb was moderate in elevation. The top was flat for several miles with gently slopes. The decent was a steep grade and rewarding. It was a nice one hour biking trip.

After lunch we all headed to the lake to sit around and I did a little fishing. My research prior to the trip, yielded many successful fishing stories. The fish in the lake has held world records for the largest Northern Pike. Other common fish are trout, walleye, big mouth bass, perch, etc. Unfortunely the lake was way to choppy for kayak fishing and so I decided to stick to the dock. After fishing for about 2 hrs, I had nothing to show for it.

For dinner we and grilled chicken in the menu and so I volunteered to do the grilling. The marinade recipe was delicous. And the grilling part was straightforward and not too exciting. The turnout was tasty chicken and a happy family.

Later that evening we had a bonfire to enjoy. The kids anxiously anticipated smores, so they had their share of sugar as well.
