ONTARIO, CANADA: AFRICAN LION SAFARI

This was definitely one of the highlights of our Canada trip! My brother-in-law traveled to the safari last year and recommended we check this place out, otherwise we wouldn't have know about it.

Its a great experience to have while driving in the comforts of your own car. Some people may not find this comforting as you are entering a place where wild animals surround you and there is real potential danger to having your car damaged. If you have such a fear, then for an additional cost, you can ride in a safari vehicle provided by that park.

Before the lion country areas we also passed through the Nairobi Sanctuary and Cheetah conservation  centre which kept these animals more isolated in smaller fenced in areas.

SIMBA LION COUNTRY

TIMBAVATI LION COUNTRY

The zebra stripped trucks were driven by the park rangers that had ways to protect the tourists as well as herd animals away from gates.

WANKE BUSHLAND TRAIL

This area kept all of us entertained for the longest time. The monkeys were very adventurous and they enjoyed jumping on top of vehicles and playing with door handles, antennas, wiper blades and other features on the car that looked intriguing.

ROCKY RIDGE VELDT

THE AMERICAS

THE ELEPHANT SWIM

Takes place two times a day!

AFRICAN QUEEN BOAT CRUISE

A few minute cruise around a lake with islands that contain several different species of monkeys and water fowl.

MISUMU BAY WET PLAY

It was close for the day due to the cooler temperatures. It was low 70's and definitely not swim weather. But it looked like a nice place to get wet.

BIRDS OF PREY & PARROT PARADISE

ELEPHANT AND FRIENDS

"NATURE BOY" SCENIC RAILWAY

It was a nice way to sit down and enjoy some additional scenery of the safari. Its a 12 minute train ride.

Highly recommend this place for the entire family. Its a place that will take most of the day. It had some great food options for lunch.
